Maithree


This is a portrayal of ‘Maithree’, depicting next Buddha as a woman contrary to popular belief that woman could not attain Buddha hood.

Arab Spring and Its Women on crossroads


These are creations I did to mark the International Women's day.

My creations for this event mainly reflect the recent developments in the Arab world and its repercussions on its women. My questions were as to whether the much hyped Arab Spring will change the attitude towards women or will there be a danger of losing rights they gained even under dictatorships. 
I think that as a result of growing up in an environment surrounded by a  brutally suppressed youth uprising as well as a long running violent civil war, my work tend to subconsciously search for reflection of peace, love and harmony.

Butterfly

The butterfly extracts honey from flowers without damaging either the colour or the fragrance of the flower and in doing so helps the tree bear much fruit resembling the honest, hard working,innocent, often vulnerable, beautiful colourful people who enrich the society...
